Friday night rides/Sunday morning rides/Masters Swim

Hi everyone...

Jenny and I would like to help chip in and give people some good reasons to bike this summer.

Mike and Jenny Wimmer
440 Willow Springs Court
Janesville, WI

Starting May 8th and every Friday night be at our house ready to ride at 6PM. We will bike ride either an hour or hour and a half and come back to our house and I will fire up the grill.
Bring something to cook on the grill for yourself and we will provide salad (or other side dish) and all the utensils. This gives us all a chance to hang out and discuss where everyone is with their training. I always have diet coke/diet mountain dew/water on hand and if you want something other than that, feel free to bring it.

Also I have a pretty good sized hot tub that holds 7 or 8 people. Bring a suit (I have plenty of towels) and feel free to soak as long as you want. I generally keep it at 99 degrees so it's not so scalding hot.

And to add more fun, starting May 17th, Jenny and I will start our Sunday Goober McChicken rides. We will do 50+ miles leaving from our house at 7:30AM. We will head which ever way gives us a tailwind back. Last year we went to Whitewater a few times, Beckman Mill in Beloit a few times and we did the Pie Ride route too once. Always funner with more people and we had a ton of fun and laughs on this ride last year. Pace is usually 13-15MPH and it generally took about 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours depending on how far we went. As we inch closer to Ironman Wisconsin, we will probably do some rides of the Ironman bike course and on those Sundays we will meet in Madison at 7:30 for one loop and eventually a couple 2 loop rides.

We like to leave at 7:30 so we are back by noon so we can take care of other stuff and not waste all day biking.

Please feel free to contact me at any time at bigmike600@charter.net

Remember to use this board to let others know how you are doing and if you want to SBR.

There should be an announcement coming around about a Masters Swim program being started here in Janesville. We need to support this so it sticks around. Details to follow.
